# Creating a comment in candidate timeline

`POST /jobs/{jobId}/applications/{applicationId}/comments`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a comment in the candidate timeline, visible to company users.

## Path parameters

- `jobId` integer, required
- `applicationId` integer, required

## Request body

- ApplicationCommentPost
  - `text` string, required: Comment text
  - `hidden` boolean: Comment is hidden (visible only to API)
  - `attachedFileData` string: Base64-encoded file data (max decoded size 10MB). Must be valid base64 format.
  - `attachedFileName` string: File name for the attachment. Required if attachedFileData is provided.

## Response `201`

A confirmation of successful insertion of the comment

- ApplicationComment
  - `id` integer: Timeline comment id
  - `userId` integer: User id
  - `text` string: Comment text
  - `hidden` boolean: Comment is hidden (visible only to API or user who created)
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: Data of creation
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time: Date of update

## Other responses

- `400`: BadRequest / Invalid Input
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: NotFound / Resource not found
