# Partial Update Business Model

`PATCH /business-models-api/light-business-models/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://open-api.guesty.com/v1`
- URL: `https://open-api.guesty.com/v1/business-models-api/light-business-models/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `authorization`

Updates only whitelisted fields without requiring full Business Model payload. Creates new version with updated fields. Currently supports: category.

  - `assignedListings` object[]: Present only when includeAssignedListings=true. Sorted by assignedAt descending, capped at 1000. Full total is listingsCount; see assignedListingsTruncated when capped
    - `listingId` string, required: Guesty listing ID
    - `assignmentType` 'current' | 'future', required: Whether the business model is the listing's currentModel or scheduled futureModel
    - `assignedAt` string, required: Last assignment timestamp on the assignment document
    - `activationDate` string, required: Activation date from currentModel or futureModel on the assignment
  - `assignedListingsTruncated` boolean: Present and true when includeAssignedListings=true and listingsCount exceeds the 1000-item assignedListings cap

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid field value or no valid fields provided
- `403`: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this resource
- `404`: Business Model not found
- `500`: Unhandled exception. Something went wrong on server
