# Search CVR companies by name

`GET /v1/cvr/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.grundfast.dk`
- URL: `https://api.grundfast.dk/v1/cvr/search`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in query parameter `token`

Fritekst / navnesøgning: find companies whose name matches the query, ranked by trigram similarity over a LOCAL company index (the live CVR host is eq-only and cannot fuzzy-search, so search is served from a bulk-ingested corpus — like address autocomplete). Each hit is a compact summary (cvr_nummer, navn, status, virksomhedsform, kommune); fetch full detail with GET /v1/cvr/{cvr}. Gated behind CVR_SEARCH_ENABLED + a seeded index — 503 until both. Note that for personally-owned forms (e.g. Enkeltmandsvirksomhed) a match may constitute the owner’s personal data — see docs/DPIA-CVR-SOLE-PROPRIETOR.md.

- CvrSearch: A page of CVR company summaries matched by name over the local index — each hit carries a cvr_nummer to fetch full detail via GET /v1/cvr/{cvr}.

## Other responses

- `400`: Error

- `503`: CVR name search not enabled, or the local company index has not been seeded yet; use /v1/cvr/{cvr} for by-number lookup.
