# Add an email to the suppression list

`POST /suppressions`

## Request

## Request body

- CreateSuppressionRequest
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `reason` string
  - `tenant` string: Add the address to this tenant's own list (its `external_id` or `id`) instead of the account-wide list. Sends for other tenants are not affected.

  - `suppression` Suppression, required
    - `id` string, required
    - `email` string, email, required
    - `reason` string, nullable, required
    - `source` 'bounce' | 'complaint' | 'manual' | 'api' | 'unsubscribe', required
    - `tenant` string: The tenant's `external_id`. Present only on entries of a tenant's list.

    - `updated_at` string, date-time, required
