# Remove a suppression or category opt-out by email query parameter

`DELETE /suppressions`

## Query parameters

- `email` string, email, required
- `tenant` string
- `type` 'suppression' | 'category_opt_out'
- `category` 'product' | 'newsletter'

## Response `200`

Suppression (or category opt-out) removed

- object
  - `ok` boolean, required
  - `deleted` integer: With `type=category_opt_out`, how many opt-outs were removed.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Suppression not found
