# Delete a template

`DELETE /v1/templates/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.grepr.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://docs.grepr.ai/v1/templates/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `GREPR-API-KEY`
  - OpenID Connect (`https://grepr-prod.us.auth0.com/.well-known/openid-configuration`)

Deletes all versions of a template if no job is currently using it.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `204`

Template deleted successfully (or didn't exist)

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Template not found
- `409`: Template is in use by an active job
