# Update a dataset

`PUT /v1/datasets/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.grepr.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://docs.grepr.ai/v1/datasets/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `GREPR-API-KEY`
  - OpenID Connect (`https://grepr-prod.us.auth0.com/.well-known/openid-configuration`)

Update a dataset. Currently, only the name is updated.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- DatasetUpdate
  - `name` string, required
  - `tables` object: Per-table configuration overrides. Read-only here; use /datasets/{id}/{tableKey}/config to mutate.
  - `teamIds` string[]: The team IDs that this dataset is associated with.

## Response `200`

The updated dataset.

- DatasetRead
  - `id` string, required
  - `integrationId` string, required
  - `name` string, required
  - `organizationId` string, required
  - `tables` object: Per-table configuration overrides, keyed by table key (e.g. logs_raw). Absent entries use system defaults.
  - `teamIds` string[]: The team IDs that this dataset is associated with.

## Other responses

- `404`: Dataset not found.
