# Create a chat

`POST /v1/chats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.grepr.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://docs.grepr.ai/v1/chats`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `GREPR-API-KEY`
  - OpenID Connect (`https://grepr-prod.us.auth0.com/.well-known/openid-configuration`)

Creates a chat, starts its workflow, and submits the first message. Returns the new chat id; the turn runs asynchronously.

  - `enabledSkills` string[]
  - `model` ModelConfiguration, required
    - `integrationId` string
    - `maxOutputTokens` integer
    - `modelName` string
    - `provider` 'ANTHROPIC' | 'GEMINI' | 'LITELLM' | 'OPENAI'
  - `text` string, required

## Response `201`

Chat created
