# Stop a utility insights request the user no longer wants

`POST /utility/insights/{requestId}/cancel`

Records the Stop of the generation whose requestId the frontend sent (Cloud Run does not pass client disconnects on). The generation, if still running, ends with 409 and is not cached. Idempotent.

## Path parameters

- `requestId` string, required

## Response `204`

The Stop is recorded

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Utility insights are not enabled
