# Delete note

`DELETE /v3/notes/{id}`

## Request

Permanently delete a candidate note. The note is removed from the candidate's activity feed and the deletion cannot be reversed. Deleted notes are not returned by `GET /v3/notes` and leave no record to sync. `NOTE`, `EMAIL`, `FEEDBACK`, `TOUCHPOINT`, `LINKEDIN_NOTE`, and `LINKEDIN_INMAIL` notes can be deleted; other types, including `ACTIVITY` and `INTERVIEW`, return a 422. The requesting user must be a Site Admin or the note's author, and must be able to view the note.
