# Read the saved payment method

`GET /v1/billing/payment-method`

## Request

Reads the verified organization's saved payment method: the one method automatic execution top-ups and project subscriptions charge. It is the payment provider's default payment method for the organization, read by authenticated provider call. method says what it is — type card with brand, last four digits and expiry; type link with the email Link reports, when it reports one; or type other with the provider's type name (cashapp, amazon_pay, klarna and the like) — and every variant carries label, the name to show a person. card repeats the card details when the method is a card and is null otherwise; it is kept for clients written before other payment methods were accepted. A method the organization already authorized for automatic top-up or a project subscription is adopted as the saved method, so an existing customer is not told they have none. method and card are null when the organization has none.
