# Read browser-safe session status

`GET /api/v1/sessions/{session_id}/status`

Inspect accepted evidence coverage, freshness and enrollment readiness without exposing a full server assessment.

## Response `200`

Browser-safe coverage, accepted-window count, active duration, freshness and readiness.

- StatusSummary: Browser-safe coverage and enrollment-readiness summary without a score or full server assessment.
  - `active_seconds` number, required: Duration of accepted active evidence in seconds.
  - `coverage` 'none' | 'sparse' | 'partial' | 'sufficient', required: Evidence-coverage category: none, sparse, partial or sufficient. Describes the amount and variety of accepted evidence.
  - `enrollment_ready` boolean: Whether the server’s accepted coverage meets enrollment readiness. Client elapsed time alone is insufficient.
  - `evidence_windows` integer, required: Number of accepted, non-overlapping evidence windows accounted for in this session or profile.
  - `freshness_ms` integer, nullable, required: Age of the relevant evidence in milliseconds; null when freshness cannot be established.
  - `human_readable` string, required: Human-readable coverage/readiness explanation for the user interface.
  - `limitations` string[]: Applicable limitations that must accompany interpretation of the result.
  - `modalities_present` string[]: Names of observed evidence modalities included in coverage accounting.
  - `session` string, required: Observation or enrollment session identifier, as required by the operation.

## Other responses

- `422`: The canonical handler returns a Problem for invalid input; correct the request before retrying.
