# End an evidence session

`POST /api/v1/sessions/{session_id}/end`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.graypass.org` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Stop accepting further evidence in the selected session and return its accounting summary.

## Path parameters

- `session_id` string, required

## Response `200`

ended receipt with elapsed session seconds and accounted evidence-window count.

- SessionEnded: Receipt for an ended evidence session and its accounted duration and windows.
  - `duration_seconds` number, required: Elapsed session duration in seconds, distinct from accepted active evidence duration.
  - `evidence_windows` integer, required: Number of accepted, non-overlapping evidence windows accounted for in this session or profile.
  - `session` string, required: Observation or enrollment session identifier, as required by the operation.
  - `status` 'ended', required: Lifecycle state of this record; use the operation-specific values listed in the schema.

## Other responses

- `422`: The canonical handler returns a Problem for invalid input; correct the request before retrying.
