# Get portal categories

`GET /portal-categories`

## Request

- Base URL: `/management/v2/environments/DEFAULT` (relative, and the document was published on a file host, not at the API’s origin)
- URL: `/management/v2/environments/DEFAULT/portal-categories`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in cookie `Auth-Graviteeio-APIM`

User must have the ENVIRONMENT_DOCUMENTATION[read] permission.

## Response `200`

List of portal categories, sorted alphabetically by title

- PortalCategory[]
  - `id` string, uuid, required: The unique ID of the portal category
  - `title` string, required: The title of the portal category
  - `description` string: The description of the portal category
  - `visible` boolean: Whether the portal category is visible on the portal
