# Delete a data plane

`DELETE /organizations/{orgId}/environments/{envId}/dataplanes/{dataPlaneId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8093/automation`
- URL: `http://localhost:8093/automation/organizations/{orgId}/environments/{envId}/dataplanes/{dataPlaneId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes an Automation-managed data plane by its id. Deleting a data plane that does not exist also returns 204.

## Response `204`

Data plane successfully deleted

## Other responses

- `403`: Permission denied
- `409`: At least one domain still references the data plane
