# Bulk Delete Workbench Rows

`POST /workbench/tables/{table_id}/rows/bulk-delete`

Delete rows by id, or everything EXCEPT a set.

`select_all` must be sent explicitly to delete everything. An empty
selection is rejected rather than treated as a delete-all - the app's own
comment records why: "a client bug can never turn 'nothing selected' into
'delete the whole table'".

## Request body

- WorkbenchRowsDeleteRequest: Delete rows by id, or every row EXCEPT a set. `select_all` is EXPLICIT rather than inferred from an empty `row_ids`, mirroring the app - so a client bug can never turn "nothing selected" into "delete the whole table". This surface keeps that guarantee rather than accepting a bare empty list as a delete-everything.

    - `total_is_lower_bound` boolean, nullable: Search endpoints only: true when more records match than `total` shows (the result set is larger than the 10,000 results that can be paged). Absent outside search.
    - `notes` string[], nullable: Search endpoints only: plain-language notes about the result, e.g. that more records match than can be paged, or that a reversed `between` range was put in order.
