# Update Initiative

`PATCH /radar/initiatives/{initiative_id}`

Change an initiative's owner and/or due date after approval.

Partial update: an omitted field is left alone, `owner_id: null` unassigns. The owner must be a member of this
organization (400 otherwise). `create_crm_task: true` also opens a CRM task for the resolved owner and needs a
task-write permission; the task is a best-effort side effect that never fails the edit, and `crm_task_id` is null
when none was made. 404 for an initiative that is not this organization's.

- `initiative_id` string, required: Initiative id (from GET /radar/initiatives).

- PatchInitiativeRequest: Post-creation edits (F5). Partial-update semantics: a field OMITTED from the request leaves the stored value unchanged; `owner_id: null` explicitly unassigns (distinguished via `model_fields_set`, not a bare None check).
