# Bulk Update Object Records

`PATCH /objects/{object_slug}/records/bulk`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1/objects/{object_slug}/records/bulk`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Apply the same values to every record in an explicit or filtered scope.

Registered before ``/{object_slug}/records/{record_id}``: routes match by
path shape, so "bulk" would otherwise bind to ``{record_id}``. Needs
objects:read as well as objects:write (a filtered scope echoes the ids that
match caller-chosen predicates). Delegates to the Studio function, so the
server-side filter resolution, the 500-row cursor, the per-row savepoints
and the per-org ``records_core`` switch (404 while off) are identical.

## Path parameters

- `object_slug` string, required

## Headers

- `Authorization` string, nullable
- `X-Target-Org-Id` string, nullable

## Request body

- RecordBulkUpdate: Bulk-update body: exactly one scope (explicit ids or a filtered set), plus the values to apply to every record in that scope. ``record_ids`` is capped at 500 to bound the transaction. ``filters`` reuses this router's own ``RecordFilter`` shape; a filtered scope is resolved entirely server-side (ordered by record id, at most 500 per call) and the ids it resolves are never trusted from the client. ``after_record_id`` continues a filtered scope that the previous call reported as truncated.
  - `record_ids` string[], nullable
  - `filters` RecordFilter[], nullable
    - `attribute_slug` string, required
    - `operator` 'eq' | 'ne' | 'gt' | 'gte' | 'lt' | 'lte' | 'contains' | 'starts_with' | 'in' | 'is_null' | 'is_not_null', required
    - `value` unknown
  - `after_record_id` string, uuid, nullable
  - `values` object

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ApiResponseRecordBulkUpdateResponse
  - `data` RecordBulkUpdateResponse, required
    - `succeeded` string[], required
    - `failed` RecordBulkUpdateFailure[], required
      - `id` string, uuid, required
      - `error` string, required
      - `code` string
      - `attribute_slug` string, nullable
    - `truncated` boolean
    - `next_after_record_id` string, uuid, nullable
  - `pagination` PaginationMeta
    - `page` integer, required: Current page number (1-indexed)
    - `limit` integer, required: Items per page
    - `total` integer, required: Total number of items
    - `has_next` boolean, required: Whether there are more pages
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Opaque cursor for the next page; null when there are no more items. Pass it back as the `cursor` query param to fetch the following page without computing page numbers.
    - `total_available` integer, nullable: Search endpoints only: how many records really match, when known. Can be larger than `total`, which is capped at the 10,000 results that can be paged. For company search this is a distinct-company estimate. Null when unknown; absent outside search.
    - `total_is_lower_bound` boolean, nullable: Search endpoints only: true when more records match than `total` shows (the result set is larger than the 10,000 results that can be paged). Absent outside search.
    - `notes` string[], nullable: Search endpoints only: plain-language notes about the result, e.g. that more records match than can be paged, or that a reversed `between` range was put in order.
