# Send Desk Reply

`POST /desk/decisions/{decision_id}/send-reply`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1/desk/decisions/{decision_id}/send-reply`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

SENDS AN EMAIL to a real person, then resolves the card.

Not idempotent, and it cannot be: the inbox send path carries no request
id and no dedupe key. What protects a caller instead is the CARD: it is
claimed before the send, guarded on still being pending, so only one
request can win and a second gets a 409 having sent nothing.

A retry after a timeout is therefore safe in the usual case and silent in
one: a crash between the claim and the send leaves a resolved card whose
mail never went. That is deliberate - recoverable by a human, unlike a
duplicate email, which cannot be recalled.

The opt-out check runs AGAIN here. `reply-target` already asked, but that
answer is as old as the caller's editing session and a STOP that arrived
meanwhile must not be sent through.

## Path parameters

- `decision_id` string, required: Decision id (UUID).

## Headers

- `Authorization` string, nullable
- `X-Target-Org-Id` string, nullable

## Request body

- DeskSendReplyRequest: The rep's reply, as it will arrive in the prospect's inbox. An omitted `subject` keeps the thread's own. The opt-out check runs AGAIN on send - `reply-target` already asked, but that answer is as old as the editing session and a STOP arriving while the rep typed must not be sent through.
  - `subject` string, nullable
  - `body` string, required: The reply body. Reaches a real person.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ApiResponseDeskPayload
  - `data` DeskPayload, required: An open envelope for one desk object. Open on purpose - see the module docstring. A rebuilder gets every field the desk returns, including ones added after this contract version.
  - `pagination` PaginationMeta
    - `page` integer, required: Current page number (1-indexed)
    - `limit` integer, required: Items per page
    - `total` integer, required: Total number of items
    - `has_next` boolean, required: Whether there are more pages
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Opaque cursor for the next page; null when there are no more items. Pass it back as the `cursor` query param to fetch the following page without computing page numbers.
    - `total_available` integer, nullable: Search endpoints only: how many records really match, when known. Can be larger than `total`, which is capped at the 10,000 results that can be paged. For company search this is a distinct-company estimate. Null when unknown; absent outside search.
    - `total_is_lower_bound` boolean, nullable: Search endpoints only: true when more records match than `total` shows (the result set is larger than the 10,000 results that can be paged). Absent outside search.
    - `notes` string[], nullable: Search endpoints only: plain-language notes about the result, e.g. that more records match than can be paged, or that a reversed `between` range was put in order.
