# Bulk Update Deals

`POST /deals/bulk`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1/deals/bulk`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Apply ONE change to up to 100 deals.

PUT semantics on every field of `change`: null leaves a value alone, an
EMPTY STRING clears it. Omitting a field and sending `""` are therefore
different instructions and the second one is destructive.

Read the per-deal result rather than the HTTP status: a deal the caller
cannot write is reported, not fatal.

## Headers

- `Authorization` string, nullable
- `X-Target-Org-Id` string, nullable

## Request body

- BulkDealUpdateRequest: Apply one change to up to 100 deals. Each deal is checked against the caller's deal scope individually; one the caller cannot write is reported rather than aborting the batch.
  - `deal_ids` string[], required
  - `change` BulkDealChange, required: The change applied to EVERY deal in the batch. PUT semantics, and the distinction matters: `null` leaves a value alone, an EMPTY STRING clears it. So omitting a field and sending `""` are different instructions, and the second one is destructive.
    - `stage` string, nullable
    - `stage_id` string, nullable
    - `pipeline_id` string, nullable
    - `owner_id` string, nullable
    - `amount` number, nullable
    - `currency` string, nullable
    - `close_date` string, date-time, nullable
    - `description` string, nullable
    - `next_step` string, nullable
    - `custom_fields` object, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ApiResponseDealPayload
  - `data` DealPayload, required: An open envelope for a deal, a merge preview or a column result. Open because the crossfire and merge-preview payloads are computed shapes that grow with the product, and a closed model would drop a field from an ADVISORY read - where a missing signal reads as "nothing to worry about" rather than "we did not tell you".
  - `pagination` PaginationMeta
    - `page` integer, required: Current page number (1-indexed)
    - `limit` integer, required: Items per page
    - `total` integer, required: Total number of items
    - `has_next` boolean, required: Whether there are more pages
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Opaque cursor for the next page; null when there are no more items. Pass it back as the `cursor` query param to fetch the following page without computing page numbers.
    - `total_available` integer, nullable: Search endpoints only: how many records really match, when known. Can be larger than `total`, which is capped at the 10,000 results that can be paged. For company search this is a distinct-company estimate. Null when unknown; absent outside search.
    - `total_is_lower_bound` boolean, nullable: Search endpoints only: true when more records match than `total` shows (the result set is larger than the 10,000 results that can be paged). Absent outside search.
    - `notes` string[], nullable: Search endpoints only: plain-language notes about the result, e.g. that more records match than can be paged, or that a reversed `between` range was put in order.
