# List Contacts Across Companies

`GET /companies/contacts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1/companies/contacts`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Contacts across EVERY company, with their company and pipeline context.

The buying-committee view: `department`, `buying_role` and `in_pipeline`
are not available on `GET /contacts`, and each row carries the company it
belongs to.

Published under `/companies` because that is the surface it belongs to,
but the rows it returns are CONTACTS and it is filtered by the CONTACT
record scope. A key holding `companies:read` without contact visibility
resolves that scope to nothing and gets an empty result rather than a
company-scoped one - it fails closed, but it is worth knowing which of the
two scopes actually governs the rows.

## Query parameters

- `skip` integer
- `limit` integer: The app defaults this to 10000; 100 here.
- `search` string, nullable: Substring match on name or email.
- `department` string, nullable: Filter by job department.
- `buying_role` string, nullable: Filter by buying-committee role, e.g. `decision_maker`.
- `in_pipeline` boolean: Only contacts attached to an open deal.
- `owner_id` string, nullable: Filter by contact owner.
- `sort_by` string: name | title | company_name | department | email | updated_at
- `sort_order` string: asc | desc

## Headers

- `Authorization` string, nullable
- `X-Target-Org-Id` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- ApiResponseCrmCollectionPayload
  - `data` CrmCollectionPayload, required: An open envelope for a LIST result, so a bare list keeps its shape.
    - `items` unknown[]
      - unknown
  - `pagination` PaginationMeta
    - `page` integer, required: Current page number (1-indexed)
    - `limit` integer, required: Items per page
    - `total` integer, required: Total number of items
    - `has_next` boolean, required: Whether there are more pages
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Opaque cursor for the next page; null when there are no more items. Pass it back as the `cursor` query param to fetch the following page without computing page numbers.
    - `total_available` integer, nullable: Search endpoints only: how many records really match, when known. Can be larger than `total`, which is capped at the 10,000 results that can be paged. For company search this is a distinct-company estimate. Null when unknown; absent outside search.
    - `total_is_lower_bound` boolean, nullable: Search endpoints only: true when more records match than `total` shows (the result set is larger than the 10,000 results that can be paged). Absent outside search.
    - `notes` string[], nullable: Search endpoints only: plain-language notes about the result, e.g. that more records match than can be paged, or that a reversed `between` range was put in order.
