# Set the default conferencing provider

`POST /appointments/conferencing/{provider}/default`

## Request

Set the default conferencing provider for new meetings. For link-based
providers (roam, whereby, jitsi) a meeting URL is required (either in the
request or previously stored on the credential). Reuses the in-app
set_default_conferencing logic.

Successful Response

- DefaultConferencingEnvelope: Envelope for GET/POST conferencing default. Inner fields are all-Optional (``null`` when nothing is configured), so the envelope is what carries the real payload through response validation.
