# Create Account Deal

`POST /accounts/{account_id}/deals`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://be.graph8.com/api/v1/accounts/{account_id}/deals`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a deal already attached to an account.

`POST /deals` creates one standalone; this attaches it in the same call,
closing the window where a deal exists with no account.

No per-record gate, matching the app: there is no existing deal to check
against, and the account is validated by the handler.

## Path parameters

- `account_id` string, required: Account the deal belongs to.

## Headers

- `Authorization` string, nullable
- `X-Target-Org-Id` string, nullable

## Request body

- AccountDealCreateRequest: Create a deal already attached to an account. `POST /deals` creates one standalone. This attaches it in the same call, which is the difference worth having: a two-step create leaves a window where the deal exists with no account.
  - `name` string, required
  - `description` string, nullable
  - `amount` number, nullable
  - `currency` string
  - `stage` string: Stage NAME, not id.
  - `stage_id` string, nullable: Stage id. Takes precedence over `stage`.
  - `pipeline_id` string, nullable
  - `products` string[]
  - `owner_id` string, nullable: Who owns the deal. Omit to take the app's default - an API key is an ORGANISATION credential, so there is no 'me' to fall back to.
  - `close_date` string, date-time, nullable
  - `contact_ids` string[]

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- ApiResponseDealPayload
  - `data` DealPayload, required: An open envelope for a deal, a merge preview or a column result. Open because the crossfire and merge-preview payloads are computed shapes that grow with the product, and a closed model would drop a field from an ADVISORY read - where a missing signal reads as "nothing to worry about" rather than "we did not tell you".
  - `pagination` PaginationMeta
    - `page` integer, required: Current page number (1-indexed)
    - `limit` integer, required: Items per page
    - `total` integer, required: Total number of items
    - `has_next` boolean, required: Whether there are more pages
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable: Opaque cursor for the next page; null when there are no more items. Pass it back as the `cursor` query param to fetch the following page without computing page numbers.
    - `total_available` integer, nullable: Search endpoints only: how many records really match, when known. Can be larger than `total`, which is capped at the 10,000 results that can be paged. For company search this is a distinct-company estimate. Null when unknown; absent outside search.
    - `total_is_lower_bound` boolean, nullable: Search endpoints only: true when more records match than `total` shows (the result set is larger than the 10,000 results that can be paged). Absent outside search.
    - `notes` string[], nullable: Search endpoints only: plain-language notes about the result, e.g. that more records match than can be paged, or that a reversed `between` range was put in order.
