# Remove legal hold custodian

`DELETE /v1/legal-holds/{hold_id}/custodians/{custodian_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://public-api.granola.ai`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes a custodian from a hold. The record of who was held survives: the entry is returned by the list endpoint with `removed_at` set. A custodian id that was never issued returns 404.

## Path parameters

- `hold_id` string, required: The legal hold id. Case-insensitive.
- `custodian_id` string, required: The custodian entry id. Case-insensitive.

- `400`: Bad request
