# Create a contact point.

`POST /v1/provisioning/contact-points`

## Request

- Base URL: `/api` (relative, and the document’s source URL is not known)
- URL: `/api/v1/provisioning/contact-points`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

- EmbeddedContactPoint: EmbeddedContactPoint is the contact point type that is used by grafanas embedded alertmanager implementation.
  - `disableResolveMessage` boolean
  - `name` string: Name is used as grouping key in the UI. Contact points with the same name will be grouped in the UI.
  - `provenance` string
  - `settings` Json, required
  - `type` 'alertmanager' | 'dingding' | 'discord' | 'email' | 'googlechat' | 'kafka' | 'line' | 'opsgenie' | 'pagerduty' | 'pushover' | 'sensugo' | 'slack' | 'teams' | 'telegram' | 'threema' | 'victorops' | 'webhook' | 'wecom', required
  - `uid` string: UID is the unique identifier of the contact point. The UID can be set by the user.
