# Get a description of a resource's access control properties.

`GET /access-control/{resource}/description`

## Request

- Base URL: `/api` (relative, and the document’s source URL is not known)
- URL: `/api/access-control/{resource}/description`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - API key in header `Authorization`

## Path parameters

- `resource` string, required

## Response `200`

(empty)

- Description
  - `assignments` Assignments
    - `builtInRoles` boolean
    - `serviceAccounts` boolean
    - `teams` boolean
    - `users` boolean
  - `permissions` string[]

## Other responses

- `403`: ForbiddenError is returned if the user/token has insufficient permissions to access the requested resource.
- `500`: InternalServerError is a general error indicating something went wrong internally.
