# Prevailing-wage floor for one occupation (distribution)

`GET /api/v1/wage-determinations/rate-summary`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://govconapi.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://govconapi.com/api/v1/wage-determinations/rate-summary`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The labor-cost FLOOR for one occupation, aggregated across wage determinations:
base hourly percentiles + the Health & Welfare fringe + how many WDs set it. The
`/rates` listing gives the individual county rate lines; this gives their
distribution in one call, what a services bidder needs to price loaded labor,
which on an SCA contract drives the bid far more than the award value.

Provide `occupation_code` (exact, preferred) or `classification` (substring). The
binding rate on a given contract is the county-of-performance floor; this is the
national distribution. Free on every plan.

## Query parameters

- `occupation_code` string, nullable: SCA 5-digit occupation code, e.g. 11150 (Janitor), 27101 (Guard). The precise key.
- `classification` string, nullable: Trade/occupation name substring, e.g. 'Guard'. Used when no occupation_code is given.
- `type` string, nullable: SCA | DBA (default SCA). CBAs have no rate table.
- `state` string, nullable: 2-letter state code: scope to WDs covering that state (via the WD's jurisdictions).
