# Search Product & Service Codes

`GET /api/v1/psc/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://govconapi.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Search the federal Product & Service Code (PSC) catalog by code prefix or name/description text (`keywords`). Each code carries its official name and description, whether it is a Service or a Product, its category-management hierarchy (category / subcategory / parent group), whether it is currently active, and how many prime awards we hold use it (results are ordered active-first, then most-used). Authoritative structure from the GSA PSC Manual; free on any plan. With no filters it returns the full catalog, paginated. Pass `active_only=true` to hide retired codes.

## Query parameters

- `keywords` string: Code prefix or name/description substring (case-insensitive)
- `category` string: Category-management Level 1 (e.g. 'Professional Services')
- `psc_type` string: 'Service' or 'Product'
- `active_only` boolean: Exclude retired codes
- `limit` integer
- `offset` integer
