# The contract vehicle this order was placed against (IDIQ, GWAC, FSS, BPA)

`GET /api/v1/contracts/{piid}/vehicle`

Resolve an order to its parent vehicle.

Most federal services work is not bought as a standalone contract: it is a task
order placed against a vehicle you must already hold. 6.18M of our contract rows
carry a `parent_award_id_piid`, so for those the actionable question is not "who
won this" but "what would I have needed to hold to bid at all".

Three outcomes, deliberately distinguished, because collapsing them into one 404
would tell the customer nothing:
`standalone` - the order has no parent; it was competed on its own.
`resolved` - we hold the parent vehicle; it is returned.
`not_in_corpus`- the order names a parent we do not carry. Honest, not a 404:
the order exists, the vehicle is simply outside our coverage.
