# POST /v2/spaces/{spacesId}/members

`POST /v2/spaces/{spacesId}/members`

## Request

  - Token URL: `https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token` scopes: `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/meetings.space.created`

Creates a member. For more information, see [Manage meeting space members](https://developers.google.com/workspace/meet/api/guides/meeting-space-members). This API supports the `fields` parameter in [SystemParameterContext](https://cloud.google.com/apis/docs/system-parameters). When the `fields` parameter is omitted, this API response will default to "name,email,role,user".

## Path parameters

- `spacesId` string, required

## Request body

- Member: Users who are configured to have a role in the space. These users can join the space without knocking.
  - `email` string: Email for the member. This is required for creating the member.
  - `name` string: Identifier. Resource name of the member. Format: `spaces/{space}/members/{member}`
  - `role` 'ROLE_UNSPECIFIED' | 'COHOST': The meeting role assigned to the member.

## Response `200`

Successful response
