# Validate an embedding origin.

`POST /api/v1/actions/validateEmbeddingOrigin`

## Request

Checks one origin against the embedding origins of the organization. The literal `*` is valid only when the embedding origins contain `*`.

## Request body

- ValidateEmbeddingOriginRequest: An origin to check against the embedding origins of the organization.
  - `origin` string, required: The origin of the embedding application, or `*` when it hides its origin.

## Response `200`

Whether the origin may embed the application.

- ValidateEmbeddingOriginResponse: Whether the origin may embed the application.
  - `valid` boolean, required: True when the embedding origins of the organization allow the origin.
