# Grant access to a dashboard for specific users

`POST /gdc/md/{project_id}/obj/{object_id}/grantees/add`

Give a specific user's access to a dashboard.

**NOTE**: For this feature to work properly, make the metadata object ( **object_id** for which you want to set a specific user's access ) hidden for all users.
To do so, send a permission request with `listed: false` for this metadata object. For more details, see [Set permissions for an object](#operation/setPermissionsForObject).

If the metadata object is unlisted and shared with some users, its property `sharedWithSomeone` is set to `true` (`sharedWithSomeone: 1`).* `permission` (string, required) - The type of permission you want to give the user.
    **Values:** read

* `grantee` (URI, required) - The URI of the user who will be able to access the dashboard.
