# Delete a Data Source

`DELETE /gdc/dataload/dataSources/{dataSourceId}`

Only the owner of the Data Source or a user with whom this Data Source is shared with the `manage` access can delete it.</br>
A Data Source cannot be deleted if it is used in any data load process. To delete such a Data Source, first [delete the process](https://help.gooddata.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=86796427) that uses this Data Source.

## Response `204`

No Content - the given data source was successfully deleted

## Other responses

- `302`: Found
- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Forbidden - if current user is not the owner of the data source
- `404`: Not Found - if the data source does not exist
- `409`: Conflict
