# Get defaults for a specified user

`GET /gdc/account/profile/{userId}/settings/defaults`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://secure.gooddata.com`
- URL: `https://secure.gooddata.com/gdc/account/profile/{userId}/settings/defaults`
- Auth: none declared. Required headers: `Accept`

Returns the defaults for the specified user.

You must be a domain admin to retrieve the defaults.

## Response `200`

The defaults for the specified user are successfully returned.

- Defaults: The defaults
  - `defaults` object, nullable, required
    - `projectUri` string, required: The uri of the project
    - `dashboardUri` string: The uri of the project dashboard
    - `tabId` string: The defaults tab ID
    - `links` object: Self link
      - `self` string, uri, required: Self link

## Other responses

- `403`: The API call failed because the user making this call is not a domain admin. Only a domain admin can retrieve the defaults.
- `404`: The API call failed because the specified user does not exist.
- `default`: Common error
