# Send SMS

`POST /v1/sms/send`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.goguava.ai`

Sends an SMS from one of your organization's phone numbers.

## Request body

- SendSMSRequest
  - `from_number` string, required: Sender, in E.164 format. Must be an SMS-enabled number owned by your organization.
  - `to_number` string, required: Recipient, in E.164 format.
  - `message` string, required: Message body.

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- SendSMSResponse
  - `status` string, required: Delivery status reported by the carrier, e.g. `queued` or `sent`.

## Other responses

- `400`: The sender number isn't owned by your organization or isn't SMS-enabled.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: Your account has an unresolved billing issue.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `500`: The carrier failed to send the message.
