# Validate cohort references

`GET /api/v1/cohorts/validate`

Checks that all compound cohort operands reference existing cohorts,
no circular references exist, and nesting depth does not exceed the
maximum. Useful for verifying configuration correctness.

## Response `200`

Validation result

- NATSEnvelope — Standard NATS proxy response envelope. On success, `result` contains the response data. On error, `error` contains a message string.
  - `result` unknown
  - `error` string — Error message (present only on failure)

- `502` — NATS communication error — farmer unreachable or returned an error
