# Get Document

`GET /api/v1/knowledge/documents/{document_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.gnosari.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.gnosari.com/api/v1/knowledge/documents/{document_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-AUTH-TOKEN`

Get a single document by ID.

Returns the full document content and metadata. The document
must belong to the authenticated user's account.

**Path Parameters:**
- `document_id`: OpenSearch document ID

**Security:**
Documents are retrieved from the user's account-specific index.
Users can only access documents from their own account.

## Path parameters

- `document_id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- DocumentDetail: Full document details including content.
  - `id` string, required: OpenSearch document ID
  - `title` string, required: Document title
  - `content` string: Full document content
  - `source_id` string, required: ID of the knowledge source
  - `metadata` object: Additional document metadata
  - `indexed_at` string, date-time, nullable: When the document was indexed

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
