# Was this written by Gleap's AI?

`POST /ai-provenance/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.gleap.io/v3`
- URL: `https://api.gleap.io/v3/ai-provenance/verify`
- Auth: none required

Checks whether a message was written by Gleap's AI (Kai) for a workspace
that enforces the EU AI Act. Answers only yes or no and the day; never
the message, the workspace or the conversation. Texts under 20
characters always answer no.

## Request body

- VerifyAiProvenanceDto
  - `text` string, required: The message text as received (email body, chat or WhatsApp message).

## Response `200`

- AiProvenanceAnswer
  - `aiGenerated` boolean, required
  - `generatedOn` string, nullable, required: When the matching message was written (day precision); null when none matched.
