# DeleteServiceAccount

`POST /gitpod.v1.ServiceAccountService/DeleteServiceAccount`

Deletes a service account.

 Use this method to:
 - Remove unused service accounts
 - Revoke service account access
 - Clean up expired accounts

 ### Examples

 - Delete service account:

   Permanently removes a service account.

   ```yaml
   serviceAccountId: "d2c94c27-3b76-4a42-b88c-95a85e392c68"
   ```

  - `serviceAccountId` string, uuid
