# Remove the validity override of an identity

`DELETE /v1/nhi/identities/{identity_id}/validity`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.gitguardian.com`
- URL: `https://api.gitguardian.com/v1/nhi/identities/{identity_id}/validity`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Remove the validity override of an identity. The identity gets the last validity
that ggscout sent for its secret again. Its check date stays the one of the last ggscout check.

The workspace must have NHI governance activation.
The API token must have the Manager access level or above, or be a service account token.

## Path parameters

- `identity_id` integer, required

## Response `204`

The validity override was removed.

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid API key
- `403`: Permission denied
- `404`: Identity not found, or it has no validity override
- `503`: API under maintenance
