# Move an issue between a project's columns

`POST /repos/{owner}/{repo}/projects/{id}/issues/{issue_id}/move`

## Path parameters

- `owner` string, required
- `repo` string, required
- `id` integer, required
- `issue_id` integer, required

## Request body

- MoveProjectIssueOption — MoveProjectIssueOption represents options for moving an issue between columns
  - `column_id` integer, required — Target column to move the issue into
  - `sorting` integer — Position within the column, ascending. Omit to append. Negative values sort above the rest, equal values are ordered newest first.
