# Read OpenID Connect userinfo (POST)

`POST /api/oauth/userinfo`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://git.cafe`
- URL: `https://git.cafe/api/oauth/userinfo`
- Auth: none required

The same as GET, for OpenID Connect clients that send userinfo requests with POST. The access token travels only in the Authorization header.

## Response `200`

Response for status 200

- object
  - `sub` string, required
  - `preferred_username` string
  - `name` string
  - `picture` string, uri
  - `profile` string, uri
  - `email` string
  - `email_verified` boolean

## Other responses

- `401`: Response for status 401
- `429`: A rate limit is exhausted. Wait Retry-After seconds; the value is a hint, so back off on a repeat 429.
