# Cancel an Entity-owned API speech generation

`POST /v1/generations/{generationUuid}/cancel`

## Request

  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `xi-api-key`

Uses the canonical guarded cancellation and settlement transition. Completed/failed/cancelled operations return their existing status. An ownership race may return 409. No direct worker-slot mutation or separate refund occurs.

- `404`: No API speech generation owned by the key Entity
