# Agent self-signup, step 2: verify the OTP and mint an API key

`POST /signup/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1/signup/verify`
- Auth: none required

On success, creates the account if it does not exist yet (or signs in an existing one) and returns a freshly minted API key. The raw key is shown once - store it, it cannot be retrieved again.

## Request body

- object
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `otp` string, required
  - `name` string: Optional display name for a new account. Ignored if the account already has a name.

## Response `200`

Verified - API key issued.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing fields, or an invalid/expired code.
