# Search YouTube videos or channels

`GET /search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1/search`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Provide 'q' for a first page, or 'page_token' (from a previous response's data.continuation_token) to continue. 'type' restricts results to one kind - it does not mix both.

## Query parameters

- `q` string
- `page_token` string
- `type` 'video' | 'channel'
- `country` string
- `language` string
- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

Search results.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - missing or invalid parameters.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Out of credits.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded for the key's plan tier (60/200/300 requests per minute on free/monthly/annual).
