# Resolve a channel handle/URL to a channel ID

`GET /resolve`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getyoutubetranscript.com/api/v1/resolve`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Costs 1 credit per successful call. The answer for a handle is remembered for a week.

## Query parameters

- `handle` string, required

## Response `200`

Channel resolved.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - missing or invalid parameters.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Out of credits.
- `404`: No channel found matching that handle or URL.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded for the key's plan tier (60/200/300 requests per minute on free/monthly/annual).
