# Start email sign-up

`POST /v1/auth/email/sign-up`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getsocialclaw.com`
- URL: `https://getsocialclaw.com/v1/auth/email/sign-up`
- Auth: none required

Creates a pending credential and sends a single-use verification link. No workspace is created until the address is verified.

## Request body

- EmailSignUpRequest: Starts email account creation and sends a verification link.
  - `email` string, email, required: Email address.
  - `password` string, password, required: Password. The configured length limits apply.
  - `next` string, nullable: Safe relative path to open after verification.

## Response `202`

Successful response.

- EmailAuthResponse: Email authentication result.
  - `ok` unknown, required
  - `message` string, nullable: User-facing next-step message.
  - `redirectTo` string, nullable: Safe relative path to open after success.
  - `debugUrl` string, nullable: Local-development email link. Never returned in production.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request.
- `401`: Missing, invalid, or unauthorized credentials.
- `404`: Requested resource was not found.
- `422`: Request body or semantic validation failed.
