# Simulate a pack against your recent history

`POST /policy/packs/{id}/preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getsanction.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getsanction.com/api/v1/policy/packs/{id}/preview`
- Auth: API key in header `x-mgmt-key`

PACK-1: run a pack through the retro-simulation before applying it — what would this pack have done to your last 30 days (default; any range up to 92 days). Same engine and honesty envelope as POST /policy/simulate. Read + compute only. Owner-only.

## Response `200`

Simulation report (the simulatePolicy shape) plus the pack identity

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid range or malformed body
- `401`: Management key required
- `404`: Unknown pack id
