# Poll an escalated decision (grant receipt included)

`GET /authorize/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getsanction.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://getsanction.com/api/v1/authorize/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - API key in header `x-mgmt-key`

Read the current state of an authorization request by id — used to poll an escalation until a human resolves it. Readable by the wallet's agent key or the management key. On approval the response carries the one-use grant the agent redeems by retrying with grant_id. Settles expired escalations to the policy's timeout action on read.
