# Set per-agent budgets, clearance, or active state

`PATCH /agents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://getsanction.com/api/v1`

Override budgets per agent (null clears to inherit the wallet policy), set clearance, revoke/reactivate with { active }, or set seat fields: holder (null clears) and expires_at (null clears the auto-shutoff). Management-plane.

## Request body

- UpdateAgentRequest: Per-agent overrides. A number sets a $ override; null clears it (inherit wallet policy); omitting a field leaves it unchanged.
  - `wallet_id` string, required
  - `agent_id` string, required
  - `daily_token_budget_usd` number, nullable
  - `monthly_token_budget_usd` number, nullable: Optional per-seat monthly token cap (dollars). Null clears (inherit / daily-only).
  - `daily_spend_budget_usd` number, nullable
  - `per_transaction_max_usd` number, nullable
  - `escalate_over_usd` number, nullable
  - `clearance` integer
  - `active` boolean: false revokes the agent's key; true reactivates it (SEC-6).
